WINE DETAILS

Description

My mother-in-law's favorite and a must in our range. Imagine: with this delicious Montepulciano you will feel like you are in Italy, with a plate of pasta or a pizza box. In summer, slightly chilled, perfect for any time. This wine, ruby red with aromas of black fruit and spices, reveals flavors of cherries, plums, toast, vanilla and chocolate. Ideal with roasted vegetables, pasta and lamb. From Zaccagnini, founded in 1978, this Montepulciano is aged for 4 months in Slovenian oak barrels. A wonderful wine for that Italian atmosphere.

Why do you want this wine?

As this is my mother-in-law's favorite wine, it must be in the range. Imagine: a steaming plate of fresh pasta in front of you or a pizza box on your lap, and you are enjoying this delicious Montepulciano as if you were in Italy. And in the summer, when the sun is shining, it is wonderful to drink this wine slightly chilled on your balcony, in the park or in your mother-in-law's garden.

This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Rosso Tralcetto has a ruby red color in the glass and aromas of black fruit and herbs. Flavors are reminiscent of cherries, plums, toast, vanilla and chocolate. The full fruit character and accessible tannins make this wine suitable with roasted vegetables, pasta and lamb.

The story for the slurpers

The Zaccagnini winery was built in 1978 by the Zaccagnini family in a small village in Abruzzo. They currently own 300 hectares of vineyards that are meticulously maintained throughout the year. The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Tralcetto from Cantina Zaccagnini is made from grapes from western-oriented vineyards near Bolognano. The mild hours of sunshine at the end of the day ensure gradual ripening so that the grapes retain their acidity. The wine matures for 4 months in Slovenian oak barrels.
